Booked Open Mics

SuperEgo Comedy Booked Open Mics are a fabulous opportunity for solo performers to work out new stuff in fun, supportive rooms. We think we run among the best shows in town and hope you'll agree. 

WHAT YOU NEED DO

  1. Join using the form on the right of this page. Choose "I am a Comic". 
  2. We send the booking email on Saturday. Reply by Monday night at midnight. Don't be early. Don't be late.
  3. On Tuesday, we send out the cast list.
  4. Sign-in is 15 minutes before show time. Be on time or lose your spot.
  5. Standby – If you're not booked, you may still come early for a very good chance at a spot. First come, first served.
  6. BE SURE TO READ: Booked Open Mics.

WHAT YOU GET

4.5 – 5 minute spot in a fun supportive room.

Showcases

Our Monthly Showcases are a great way for you to get a professional video and have a fabulous show experience. They are your next step up in the comedy world. SuperEgo Comics have gotten paid bookings and pro club auditions from SuperEgo Showcases and SuperEgo TV.

We run a great show with great comics and everyone has a good time. One of our comics said, "SuperEgo is a show I don't have to apologize to my friends for." But don't take his word for it, see for yourself on SuperEgo TV.

WHAT YOU NEED DO

  1. Be on our mailing list.
  2. Reply to the "Now Booking Showcase" email.
  3. Priority booking goes to comics we have seen. Perform on one of our booked open mics (preferable) or send us a video link.
  4. Bring 5 people.

WHAT YOU GET

  1. A 5-8 minute spot.
  2. A professionally-produced DVD. (If you meet your bringer requirement we pay the DVD production fee for you.) 
  3. A professionally-produced, YouTube-ready version of your video.
  4. Your YouTube video will be eligible to be featured on SuperEgo TV.

Industry Showcases

When you're ready, our industry showcase can help you move your career forward. They have been attended by the club's owner, the club's pro booker and we plan to have more bookers and industry in the future.  SuperEgo Comics have gotten paid bookings and pro club auditions from SuperEgo Showcases and SuperEgo TV.

WHAT YOU NEED DO

  1. Be on our mailing list.
  2. Reply to the "Now Booking Industry Showcase" email.
  3. Top priority goes to comics who have performed on a regular showcase and are currently on SuperEgo TV. Second priority goes to comics we have seen in person. Lowest priority is comics we have only seen on video.
  4. Bring 6 people.

WHAT YOU GET

  1. You also get everything you get from one of our regular showcases (DVD, YouTube video, and eligibility for SuperEgo TV).
  2. After the show you will get creative notes from a top industry professional, advice on how to more forward, and the opportunity to get your show business questions answered. 
  3. And if you impress the booker, there's always the possibility of a callback and bookings on pro shows.
