Frequently Asked Questions about our Booked Open Mics

WHY DIDN'T I GET BOOKED?
We have way more comics than spots, so we let random.org decide. If you didn't get booked it has nothing to do with when you emailed us or who you are. It's r-a-n-d-o-m. Please don't contact us to complain. That won't get you booked. It will, however, annoy us.

START TIME: When should I arrive?
Check in is 15 minutes before show time. 10 minutes after the show starts we give your spot to someone on the standby list.

STANDBY: What are my chances of getting up if I standby?
If you arrive EARLY, very good.  We almost always have spots for comics who arrive EARLY.

CANCELING: What if I'm booked but I can’t make it?
If you need to cancel please send an e-mail (even last minute) so we can give your spot to someone else.

NO-SHOWS: What if I'm booked and I don't cancel and I don't show up?
If you no-show more than once you'll be banned for a month.

LINE UP: What order do we go up?
We do a random draw during the show.

REQUESTING A SPOT: Can I book spots far in advance?
No. Please wait for the booking email before requesting a spot.

REQUESTING A SPECIAL SPOT: I'm from out of town ... or ... I need to prep for a special show. Can I get up on a certain week?
